Our Play Date...

What a long day....good, but long....so this will be a short post....but hopefully the pics will make up for it....

We had our playdate tonight at 6....the boys ran and gave each other big hugs when we got there..it was really cute....they played for about an hour and then we all went and got some dinner at Hibachi Express...yum! Then we had to run to the grocery store and finally got home and got T in bed.....

I'm super excited.....I got my new external flash today....it's something I've been wanting for a long time, so thanks to the Bride & Groom for the gift card to Best Buy..I was able to get it! Hopefully I'll get time to play with it this weekend.....we found out today that we get to leave work at 3 tomorrow for the holiday weekend..woo hoo...so I'll be taking lunch at 2 and leaving for the day.....maybe Anthony will cooperate and let me take some pics of him...hmm.....what to bribe him with.....ok going to watch Ace of Cakes and go to bed...I'm beat!

Some new models...

We went out for dinner tonight at a new place...WOW wings or something like that....it was good food! They have flat screen tvs at every booth....but we were sitting at a big round table, so Anthony got to sit in the booth next to us by himself and watch cartoons while he ate. The cute little hostess kept coming over and sitting with him and chatting and when we left he told us we needed to go eat there every night because he loves her. Awwwwww!!! Too funny. Anyways, I of course, brought my camera along since I have a new lens to play with, so I made Diana & Mom model for me...and Edwin had no choice....I loooooove these pictures! Our playdate got rescheduled for tomorrow night and Friday night is the first night of T-ball practice...so I'll definitely have some more new photos coming soon...

My new toy

Some of you know that I ordered a new toy and it came today! My new Canon 85mm 1.8 lens....it is beautiful! I love it! Unfortunately I only got about 10 minutes to play with it because we had plans tonight (I'll get to that in a minute). So here's 2 pics of my little stinker that he cooperated and "modeled" for....
I love how sharp this lens is.....it really makes Anthony's beautiful big eyes "pop!" Enough about that.....you'll be seeing plenty of new pics over the next few days....tomorrow night we have a play date at the park with Anthony's friend Maguire....I'll definitely be bringing my camera to get in a little practice....and of course it will be nice for the scrapbook :)

So tonight...Brian and I were treated to a VERY nice dinner by the bride and groom that I took pics for in June. I was absolutely terrified to take the pics for them because they were at the Aquarium...I didn't want to ruin their wedding photos! I did a lot of studying and practicing and they actually turned out pretty good....I was able to give them over 400 pictures and I also put together a slide show to music...they loved it. I'm sooo happy and so relieved. It was such a great learning experience. In addition to a tremendous dinner and one of the best restaurants in Wilmington, they also gave me a gift towards some more camera equipment. I am SO EXCITED!!! I finally will be able to get the flash I have been wanting for sooo long.....so thank you guys!! I've been meaning to put a pic on here from the wedding...so here's one of their favorites (of the two of them) and one of my favorites (the cake).

Busy Weekend

What a busy weekend....but fun. Friday night after work, Diana & I had scrapbook night at PPD....a bunch of us that work there get together once a month and work on our albums....we were there until about 10:15ish...

Saturday I slept in a bit and then Diana and I had a baby shower to go to for a friend from work - Ashley. Diana and 2 other girls co-hosted the shower. It turned out really nice - they did a great job! I, of course, brought along my camera and took plenty of pics for the baby book :) Diana and I made a diaper cake for part of the decorations and also as our gift. It had 2 packs of diapers..a bib....4 receiving blankets....some onesies and pjs and a bear on top that recites, "Now I lay me down to sleep." It was a big hit and I love making them! After the shower, Anthony and Brian and I met Mom and Dad at church at 5pm....then Diana & Edwin met up w/us and we went to Longhorn Steakhouse...it was sooo good but there was a wait so that took up a good portion of our Sat eve.... we ran to the grocery store for a few minutes and on the way home we stopped and picked up Edwin....he had a sleepover at Auntie Katie & Uncle Brian's house - he was so good and slept through the night until 8am! (The pic of him sleeping was Sat night).

On Sunday...we kept Edwin until mid day when Diana got back from church.....we met mom and dad for lunch and then for the rest of the afternoon we all went our separate ways.....I actually did a little scrapbooking at home which I never do anymore....and then I read for awhile and took a nap...yet another luxury! We had taco salad at Mom and Dad's tonight and now I'm getting ready to go read some more and hit the hay.....back to work tomorrow but at least next week we get a day off...woo hoo!

OH! One other thing we did today...we signed Anthony up for T-Ball! He will play 2 times a week for the next 2 months....practice starts some time this week...we're just waiting for the call from the coach....I can't wait to see how Anthony does..I think it will be good for him! So watch for T-ball pics coming soon :)

On Strike

well, I'm not really on strike any more...I started off on strike at the beginning of the week because nobody else was posting and then I got laaaaazy...and then last night I got sick...so I'll catch up this weekend...but I haven't forgotten ya :)~

The Weekend is almost over....

It's Sunday night and the weekend is almost over...boo hoo....why is it that the weekend always seems to fly by, but the work week draaaaaags? I think we should work 2 days and get 5 days off....anybody else agree? haha

So we had a nice weekend....got a lot accomplished...got the house work done, laundry caught up...picked up a few groceries and got the checkbook balanced and the bills paid.....

On Saturday, Brian & I took Anthony to the Wilmington Children's Museum...we had never gone before so it was fun to go somewhere new....it wasn't like the St Paul museum, but we still had a good time. Then today, we babysat Edwin again for a couple of hours. Anthony sure loves when Baby Edwin comes over...he is usually layin in bed and he wants Edwin to come lay with him. Today Anthony was sitting in his soft side Superman chair...so they sat in it together..I love it! I'm so glad that Anthony likes having a baby around...hopefully he'll get a sibling one day soon and he will treat him/her with as much love and care as he does Edwin.

More of the boys...

This is a quickie post cuz I'm tired and I'm so glad tomorrow is friday....but I thought I'd give you another pic of the boys that I took last night..I can't believe Anthony is smiling so nicely....lately he likes to make faces or run away from the camera...so this was a real treat!

We didn't do much of anything today other than go to work, get dinner and hang out at home tonight...very exciting.....

Let's Go Outback tonight....

We went to Outback for dinner tonight for Diana's birthday. Unfortunately Brian couldn't join us because he had to work late, but Ed was actually off and he was able to come...we don't see him all that often because he's usually working evenings (in Myrtle Beach). I'm sure it was nice for Diana to have both of her boys there! There are plenty of pics to share tonight...these were some of my favorites - I even let Diana take a picture of me - shocker! Now that I'm losing weight again, I don't mind having my pic taken as much (speaking of which...as of today I have lost 16.4 pounds on Weight Watchers...yeaaaaaa....) After dinner we went back to Mom and Dad's to take a few more pictures (that white chair on the front porch always works so nice!) and then Edwin got a bath....then it was time to come home and watch a little tv and hang out with Daddy - he didn't get home from work until 8:30...! Enjoy the pics....

Oh, by the way, Jenny, I ended up getting the Outback Special..it was good, but Dad and Ed's steaks put these ones to shame....

Guess what day it is??

My little sister's birthday! Happy Birthday Diana! We're going to Outback tonight for dinner to celebrate.....I'm sure I'll have some pics to share later tonight after we pig out :)

Proud of my man....

We're all trying to lose weight and get healthier in our family.....my husband started first and he has made us all so proud of him (and I think he's pretty proud of himself too)....he hasbeen eating better and smaller portions and has been exercising every day...he has started jogging and lifts weights too.....so here is his big reveal....he has lost over 30 pounds and looks great.....(we were just messing around outside tonight with Anthony and I of course had my camera). He consented to this one being posted :) So, Jennny, can I get a Hurray for Brian?!?!

After work Brian & Anthony and I went to the mall and got some dinner at Chickfila and then we had a couple of errands to run...when we got home Brian turned on the sprinkler (for the lawn) and of course, next thing we know, Anthony is running through it. So I went and got my camera....then Anthony decided to strip down to his underwear because his shorts were wet.....his socks were wet too, but he continued to run around w/those on...cracked me up...

And then it died....

My camera battery that is...darn it! We went to mom and dad's for dinner tonight and on our way out of work I told Diana that I was going to stop at home to get my camera to get some more pics of the boys tonight to put on my blog....well I snapped off about 10 pics and then it said..."recharge battery"....dang it!!! I only have one battery because they are like 40 bucks....so I guess I need to get another one for moments like that...anyways...

This first cutie patootie picture of Edwin is when Uncle Brian was playing with him on the floor. For the longest time Brian didn't really want to have anything to do with him (he doesn't like when they can't hold their head up)....but tonight Brian got right down on the floor with him as soon as we got there. Then Anthony decided he wanted to "hold" Edwin tonight...it was cute, Edwin was laughing, we were all oohing and ahhing and then 2 seconds after I snapped this pic, Anthony says, "I'm done with him now" and he lets go!! Good thing Brian was really the one holding him! It was pretty darn funny..

There's not much to report in the last 24 hours....Anthony got up early this a.m. (very rare) and got into our bed for cartoons....then I had to drag myself out of bed to go to work...I hate leaving when Anthony is awake because it's way too tempting to stay and play all day.......work was umm well it was boring today and the highlight of my day was going to the fitness center even though I was dreading going...turns out it was fun and I of course felt better after leaving...

Ok well now it's time for a little snack, a little diet Dr Pepper, a little bad tv and a vicodin...life is good! haha

Laundry Day

Our weekend wasn't all that exciting but we still had fun and it was fairly relaxing.....today, Baby Edwin came to visit and Anthony and I babysat him for a couple of hours....he was such a big helper with the laundry that I just had to get a pic of him in the laundry basket like I did when Anthony was a baby....Anthony wasn't nearly as chilled out as Edwin was though....

Diana needed to use my computer for a couple hours this afternoon so I got to "babysit" some more...he loved napping on my bed...it is quite cozy..I enjoy naps on it too from time to time...

Anthony woke up with a cold on Saturday morning, but it hasn't stopped him from running around like usual...I swear he has more energy when he's sick..just when you think he might chill out and take a nap or at least slow down a bit...nooope...

Well, that's about it for tonight....I'm tired and I can't believe it's already Monday tomorrow...dang it! But we have Diana's bday and bday dinner to look forward to on Wed - we're going to Outback! Yum Yum Yum!!

Busted

My sister in law busted me....she said, "What happened when you went to bed last night? Were you thinking...shoot I forgot to update my blog?" No, actually I was still thinking SHIT, IT'S HOT!!!! Seriously. It was so miserable hot that there wasn't much sleep happening at our house...I almost slept on the couch....yuck! I'm so looking forward to being able to sleep in tomorrow and maybe hang out in the pool...they say it's supposed to cool off this weekend and only be 90 or 91......no, that was not a typo....that was a 90.....these are the days when I miss Duluth's summers.....75 on the hill and about 40 by the lake..lol. You could go wherever you wanted based on how hot/cold you were.....I would like to go put my toes in the lake right now! haha

Ok enough talk about weather....

Last night we all went out to Wild Wing Cafe for dinner....Ed was even able to join us.....but unfortunately not for long, because it was HOT in the restaurant too and it was loud.....baby Edwin was tired, had had shots earlier and was HOT....and he wanted to go to sleep...but it was too loud....so Ed ended up taking him back to mom and dad's and after dinner, Mom & Diana gave him (Edwin, in case you were confused) a bath. I went home after that and was too HOT....to do anything else so I ended up renting a movie ......Catch & Release...it was pretty darn cute......Brian went for a walk/jog...Anthony watched some Scooby Doo and that was it....hopefully I'll have something more to report over the weekend....and maybe I'll remember to upload some new pictures :) Ok, I had to put some kind of picture up....and I'm at work, so I'm kinda limited....so here's a pic you probably haven't seen, from April this year. Anthony was so handsome as ring bearer in my friend's wedding and Maggie was the flower girl. So let me rephrase that..hopefully I'll update my blog with CURRENT pics this weekend :)

SHIT!It's Hot !

Yea that pretty much sums it up...it has been so hot here this week....the A/C at the house can't keep up and we're lucky if it gets cooler than 78 in the house....in our house, that is hot.....but yes, I know we are fortunate to even have A/C....so I'm not really complaining.....ok well maybe just a little bit...it's HOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!
Outside, it just remains hazy all day long and as soon as you walk out the door your glasses fog up (going from cool to hot) and you instantly start dripping with sweat..it's lovely...

well that's it for now...I have some pics at home to upload tonight...I just need to remember to do it before I am laying in bed going, "oh shoot...I forgot to update my blog with pictures." :)

The Boys

I took this pic on Mom & Dad's camera one night when we were babysitting Edwin...notice they both have dinosaurs on their outfits.....soooo cute.....I even had this picture made into a 20x24 wrapped canvas which should arrive sometime this week - I can't wait to see it....

The Home Depot...

The first saturday of every month they have a kid's workshop at Home Depot. We didn't know about it until we went to MN and we went to the workshop at David's store.....We had so much fun so we started going to the one here in Wilmington...it's not the same as when Uncle Dave is doing the workshop, but we still make the same project. This month was an art caddy/holder thingie.....Mom and Dad went with us too after we went to Boodles for breakfast...

The rest of the weekend was relaxing at home mostly, since it was soooo hot and I cleaned the house today. Nothing too exciting but at least I accomplished a few things....

Not much else to tell...things around here have been pretty low key....I guess that's a good thing...
