I'm Still Here!

Hey!
Well I'm still here...things were just a little hectic last week...I was having increased leg pain and some low back pain that even had me out of work one day last week. I was also trying to finish up the wedding pics and slideshow (for the wedding I did almost a month ago). Anyways...the Bride got them on Saturday and was pleased with them...so now I can breathe a sigh of relief that I made it through that...I was terrified! When I get home later, I'll try to remember to post a pic or two from that event.
So we had a very low key weekend - I didn't even get my camera out though so no new pics today...sorry! Friday night Diana and I had scrapbooking at work - a bunch of us meet once a month and work on our albums....we got home close to 11......saturday morning we got up early and Brian and Anthony and Edwin and I went to Boodles for breakfast.....we babysat Edwin because Diana had a baby shower to go to. Then we went and ran a few errands...it was fun to have both boys...Anthony is so good with him. After the shower, Diana came over with the Bride (from above) and her daughter and we visited for a bit after I gave her the slideshow, pics etc.....the sky had been dark most of the morning and afternoon and had been rumbling and lots of lightning.....after they left....the storm let loose...it was a bad one...I loved it and hated it...loved it because Anthony and I snuggled on the couch w/blankets...he watched a movie and I read a book....but hated it because lightning hit a bunch of equipment and Brian had to go into work..he ended up working until late Saturday and most of the day yesterday too :-( But it was an awesome storm and I was so glad that I could hang out on the couch instead of being at work....anyways...that's about it...yesterday was pretty low key too and looked stormy all day but it never even rained..weird....
I'll try to post some new pics later today/tonight...

Lollipop, Lollipop Oh lolli lolli pop....

I have been wanting to take pictures of Anthony with a lollipop for awhile. I took some when he was 2 and he made a much bigger mess then. I made him promise that he wouldn't bite the sucker until I was done taking pictures...so he kept saying..."can I bite it yet?" "noo...just a few more pictures"...and then when I finally said he could bite it, he said..."Mommy...it's too hard...I can't bite it!"...Anyways, it was pretty funny. Then he decided to walk around with the sucker and the next thing I know...he's behind the tree with the sucker in one hand and well..he was peeing...

So what did we do this weekend? Not a whole heck of a lot...I had to edit some pictures from a wedding that I was the photographer at....it was at the Aquarium so the lighting was pretty tricky....I'll post one or two after I give them to the bride on Saturday. I've spent the last few weekends working on those pics so I'm looking forward to this coming weekend when my boys and I can go out and do something fun...now just to figure out what that will be...

Well that's about it for tonight...Brian is out for his walk...I'm gettin ready to read my new People magazine (my big splurge...I finally got a subscription!) and Anthony is sitting on the floor, naked, putting together a giant Spongebob puzzle..haha...my child does not like to wear clothes!

Guess where we went tonight?

Yup! Back to the beach. Brian had to work late (like usual) so Mom picked Anthony up from school. He managed to con both Grandma & Pappy into taking him to the beach after we had dinner. So we went to Wild Wing Cafe and then off to the beach for a little bit. I'm trying to get "the perfect" picture of Anthony for a 16x20 canvas that I'm getting for FREE! Gotta love that....so you'll see lots of pics of Anthony in the next few days I'm sure...such a hard ship huh?

My Boys

Here are 2 of my favorite people - my boys. I love my son and husband so much...I'm so lucky to have them and to be a wife and mommy. The other night after we went to the beach, Brian went into the store and left Anthony & I in the car (because we were full of sand, salt etc) so Anthony got in the drivers seat and he let me take his picture....he never does that...usually he runs the other way...so I took advantage and I got some really cute pictures of him....so on Tuesday night when Brian went into the grocery store....Anthony & I found ourselves sitting in the car again.....and he said, "Mommy did you bring your camera?" (He picked it up in the backseat) and said, "Here Mommy, here's your camera...let's take pictures." So that's what we did. So basically I need to take my camera with me everytime we go somewhere and kick Brian out of the car and I might have a chance at seeing Anthony's beautiful smile (and of course those eyelashes).

I was looking up from my desk and saw this picture hanging on the wall and I thought I would upload it here in case you haven't seen it yet. I love it - I took it on the 4th of July.

This Little Piggie...

Edwin has found his feet. They are his new play toy. He's so cute!

We went to mom and dad's after work and had dinner there...I picked up some hamburgers, beans etc on the way home from a doc appt this afternoon. I had planned to have everybody over to my house for dinner, so I boiled some water to make pasta (for pasta salad)....well dummy me..I drained the water on top of some dirty dishes and then 10 min later decided to wash the dishes and promptly dumped a cup of boiling hot water over my hand...what was I thinking?!?!? But of course anybody reading this most likely knows that's what I do...I am always hurting myself....anyways....the party moved to mom and dad's and dad cooked...

So that's it...now I'm working on editing some pics...Anthony is watching Scooby Doo and Brian is out for a walk..our life is way too exciting....

Fun At The Beach

Jenny (my sister in law) and I were talking the other day about how we would like to keep a blog, but neither one of us is very good at keeping up something like that. We thought it would be cool to look back after a year of writing and see what we had written etc. So we decided to both start one, read each other's and send each other nasty emails when there hasn't been an update...ok maybe not nasty emails, but definitely a reminder....

So here ya go....an update on the Mathews Family.....I say Mathews Family, but most of the time it will include an update on Mom and Dad (The Balows) and Diana, Ed & Edwin (The Bosos)....since I haven't gotten around to getting a website finished for Baby Edwin, this will be a way that the out of town family and friends can see pictures of what we've been up to and how the boys have grown....

On Friday night, it was Diana's idea to take the boys to the beach and dip Baby Edwin's little toes in the ocean. Anthony is always up for a trip to the beach, so after work we went to 2 Guys Grille for some dinner and off we went to the beach. It was only 7pm but the storm clouds were rolling in so it was a little dark and we weren't sure how long we would get to stay. As it turned out, the sun peeked out for awhile and made for some nice lighting for the pics......Edwin loved the water, as did Anthony & Pappy. Here's a few pics from our adventure (oh and there was thunder and lightning as we were leaving but we never got any rain.....)...

Anthony says, "C'mon guys....let's go to the Beach!!"

Edwin liked the water; he loves his baths so this wasn't a surprise.

Pappy had fun in the water with the boys too!
